dka120: Only Lego shapes sounds good. But what about the background? Is it allowed to put the Lego-scene on a non-Lego carpet, table or in a focal blurred kids room? ( 5 years and 3662 days ago )
Contest Moderator: The whole scene has to be constructed from lego pieces, this includes the background. The contest theme says "Just use lego shapes, other objects are not allowed" ( 5 years and 3662 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Could everyone please take a look at the updated 3D contest rules before entering this contest http://www.pxleyes.com/guidelines/ These rules will be in force for this contest. ( 5 years and 3659 days ago )
ramananjv: can we texture them with photoshop..imean the shape will remain unchange .. ( 5 years and 3656 days ago )
Contest Moderator: you can create custom textures in PS, then use them as materials in your 3D software, but you are not allowed to add textures to the final render in PS. Please view the updated 3D guidelines the link is in the last moderator comment. ( 5 years and 3656 days ago )
billyboy: I saw many entries where final render is edited with Levels or Curves in PS.Nothing wrong for a single still image. But usually 3D are made for animation, games or different angles renders. I think is better to have the hang to adjust those things direct in the 3D program. V-Ray, for example have the Color Mapping settings for that. Just an opinion. ( 5 years and 3655 days ago )
LKY: affff....I can't participate now......Its too late for me........ ( 5 years and 3651 days ago )

This work is done in 3ds max2009 and rendered in vray..as it should build with blocks first i decided to create basic lego blocks and scaled them where it needed.i just want to show them as lego shapes so i didn't added any textures and the back ground is also made with the lego blocks.i could nt make more details to them cos..my pc couldn't tolerate more than 400000 (!!)polygon.NOTE: No reference images used (5 years and 3655 days ago)

*Scenery Added* managed to crash Maya more times than I want to count when creating it. Created it low poly too!!

Modelled this car piece by piece following the instructions.
SBS will be improved as I get time.

No external textures etc used except for the instructions as a reference.

Modelled in Maya and rendered with Mental Ray. (5 years and 3650 days ago)
