Using any 3D program, create a realistic 3 dimensional smiley. It can be angry, sad, happy, frustrated, crying... Try to make it as original as possible and try not to copy on the usual smileys. Good luck !
Great and simple idea that works very well, even with default materials! I really like it!
But in Hi-res edges become visible on the pills. Looks like they're not merged. Also, is probably too symmetrical, turning the reflection stretched out. Adding really small bumps and/or subdivide+distort it slightly would probably solve it. About the reflection map on the pills; it's reflecting a forest, but where is it?

thanks for comment and nice tips dka ..i hope itcould help me for my future entries ..and for the reflection i have given the source for that
All good bar the smiley face I'd go for the traditional black for the mouth and is it a reference to the Matrix..should one of the pills be blue?..apart from that is Cool!

Very creative I must say. I would never had come up with that idea.
I like everything but the smileys texturing. That poor dude is so abused with reflections that he almost looks hollow. The lighting could also have been better, it makes old school ray traced sharp shadows. It may look better with softer, global illuminated shadows.
(The SBS on the other hand doesn't say very much. It doesn't really show how you modeled the objects and the work progress at all. It will probably not help very much if someone wants to learn from your entry)

The ligthings and reflections give smiley the plastic effect, witch I wanted to achieve, for the SBS, I don't ussualy make this good entries, so I always make short SBS tutorials, I'll fix that, I promise, and also, thanks for the advice with shadows!
yeap, sorry to say it again after dka. the gun machine reflection on the red smiley look very bad for a good work like that. good luck and take it easy with reflections for the future.
Author this is amazing creativity....Great expressions of the smiley......Great blend and composition....Everything in the image is beautiful....Superb....GL..
modeled in 3ds max and rendered in v ray.default vray materials used and for the environment image from morgue file used.thanks to morgurfile.com (5 years and 3579 days ago)
love this entry because you went beyond just making a smily but created an entire environment for him to be in, and not just some static gray floor....
lol, nice idea, look good. the photo background on the window is not on the good angle or blur, look like paste it. i know, after hours of 3D modeling this is a simple detail but often details make the difference
very cool
You disappoiment me. I though you are a serious person until i saw this character. Since then I cant stop laughing.
