Your goal is to reproduce a 3D representation of an already existing book of your choice. You should mention which book you reproduced and mention a link to your reference or post your image in your sbs if you used a book you own as reference. GL !
itgik: So do we model the book itself or a scene from the book? ( 5 years and 3215 days ago )
secretsather: I think we model the book. ( 5 years and 3215 days ago )
Lamantine: Secretsather is right. ( 5 years and 3215 days ago )
Missy: Thanks Lamantine for clearing that up Even I wasn't sure on this one.... ( 5 years and 3214 days ago )
mircea: this is... boring.. and easy...allready we have 2 contests with whatever u can come up... only diferent names...and now this.. have u lost ur imagination?? ( 5 years and 3211 days ago )
vizman: the modeling might be easy for this contest but I think this contest will show off people's texturing skills more so. ( 5 years and 3211 days ago )
Contest Moderator: I would say to all 3D members, the more suggestions we have the more variety we have. ( 5 years and 3209 days ago )
Ory: I just threw in 4 contest suggestions which I'd be happy to create a model for. Come on Mircea if you throw in a few too then the Mod is right, we have a better chance of getting something we like. ( 5 years and 3209 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Hi Guys, Please remember for this contest you CAN use textures of books YOU own. No Matter how famous the author or book. This means you must post the photo/scan you took of the book to use as the texture. ( 5 years and 3207 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Please guys can you READ the contest description properly, BEFORE creating an image. This contest is about reproducing ACTUAL EXISTING Books. Not an old cover, with a made up name!!! Remember you must also leave a link to the image of the real book, or post a photo/scan of the real book. Thank you. ( 5 years and 3201 days ago )

Master piece author...one of the best renders here on PXL IMHO...Love the usage of the floor texture and the realism of this entry is simply amazing...Once more, well done and instant fav from me...Best of luck
gosh, this contest is soo hard to vote for, so many great entries, and this is one of them. I just love it, especially the page part, where I can see the pages and the dirt from the fingers. This is superb.
Really beautiful book!
But I'd bring up the lighting on the LH side, it's too dark and does not accurately reflect the lighting above the book on the table. The light will illuminate the entire surface, not just the book.
Pretty cool work, you just entered this so i'm gonna get in quick and suggest that you size down those glasses, they look far to huge in comparison with the book. Other than that little fix, you've got a good piece.
author says:
The book is only 17 x 10,5 cm (open it is 22x17) and my glasses measures 15x17.
amazing great job
Very nice
