This contest is about adding one of your models to a photo of your desk. Take a photograph of your desk where you do all your 3d work, then composite one of your models into the scene using camera match (or other tool) . Also, the photo should include your monitor with your modelling software open with the model on your desk visible on the screen. I have uploaded a sample here.
Ory: The way I would go about it makes it hard to comply with the theme. I would take the picture, then use that as a background to create the work. But in this I have to do the work first, then take the picture. ( 5 years and 2982 days ago )
farsite: If the interaction between your 3d elements and the image require it you could shoot the image twice, once for you to work with and then again for your final render - it would only require the camera match to be tweeked to allow for the inevitable variation in shooting angles. orientallad: interesting idea, i love it, good luck to the participants. ( 5 years and 2968 days ago )
Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
The glass looks too solid colored, with no transparency. It also looks too small and thin in comparison to the other objects on the desk. If it were positioned or resized, so as to show a bit of the colored wall through it, the illusion of it being glass would improve.

yes, very good. but that desk is waaaaay too tidy. I like how the 3d light shines down onto your mouse mat.
Thanks, I actually cleaned it up for the picture.
I love the illusion! I had to look at it a couple of times, to fully appreciate it.
And yes, it is far too neat to be "real..." LOLOL!
Very nice effort!
brilliant idea, very well executed, looking very original, good luck.
congratulations!!
HAVE A GREAT LIFE
