Looks nice, but maybe a bit other camera angle would make it better (maybe closer to the swords?). Are they hanging above the ground, btw? Good luck!
All of this was done with Autodesk 3D Studio Max. (5 years and 3690 days ago)

Reflections of checkered floor on sword hilts are nice, but it doesn't make any sense to only see sword reflections on the dark squares. And no blade shadows?
nice work!!
Looks ok, but blurry.
you should have shown the whole sword

Fine colors, fine idea, there is something wrong with the hilt, look at the shadow, the guard dont match the hilt. GL.
I really like your model (based on your SBS), but the end result has some softening or blurring filter that ruins the possible finer details. I agree with "billyboy" about the hilt. It looks roughly painted on in Photoshop. The blade has some weird edgy shadow (try using Radiosity or something).
great
If you're using the light source in your 3D program, the original shadow is correct. Looks like you drew one in because there wasn't on in the first place. There wasn't one because the angle of your light source doesn't cause a shadow to be there. You should just eliminate that shadow all together. See, the light is coming from above the camera. It's brighter on this side of the sword than the other. It's the same angle as the hilt almost. So there wouldn't be a shadow there. Trust your 3D program light source.
I DREW no shadows this is what it rendered.
Ok, sorry. Well then, I can rate it. Great job! I like the use of the map.
call me picky but I think if the contest is to make a sword, the whole sword should show. good job though
