Use any 3D program to create a landscape.
On your landscape, there can't be any objects, but there can be height differences.
The landscape can also have a variety of different textures to distinguish different parts.
A detailed SBS is required.
dka120: I think I get the point, but to avoid problems: does "There can't be any objects" include trees, stones as separate modeled objects? ( 5 years and 3797 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Trees and stones are considered objects too yes... This contest is only about the landscape itself ( 5 years and 3797 days ago )
billyboy: I dont get it. OK, no trees, no rocks. What about stars, sun, moon, mountains ? ( 5 years and 3797 days ago )
Contest Moderator: The landscape can be made up of grass, sand, water, lava,...and a mix of those... but no objects can be placed on it... The sky can have stars, moon, sun, ... ( 5 years and 3797 days ago )
LKY: oh man.....how there can be a landscape without any obj.s...... ( 5 years and 3796 days ago )
billyboy: I'm trying but my mountain look bald. Maybe a bonsai in a corner ? A very small and nice bonsai ? ( 5 years and 3796 days ago )
ponti55: Sounds difficult.. are we allowed to make alterations in photoshop? For example, adding a soft glow, or light streaks? ( 5 years and 3795 days ago )
ponti55: And another question, by landscapes, is it just making an overview or can we show something like a forest? (Sorry if i don't really understand) ( 5 years and 3795 days ago )
slain4ever: WOOHOO MY SUGGESTION WAS MADE A CONTEST!!! this is the happiest day of my life ( 5 years and 3795 days ago )

Hi, man ! Better later than never. Your landscape is really beautiful. I like very much when i see people with open minds which realize how good is for their work to learn more graphic programs. It was a tough fight here between the old photosoppers and the intrusion of new softwares. But when I see pictures like your landscape made with Bryce and Photoshop I'm very content. Now I know our fight was for a good cause. keep your good work, congratulations.

I tried to make an Antarctica-type landscape with icebergs. I gave a purple and blue gradient tinge to the light to give a different feeling to the image.
I like it in ultra lo-res. But it's not possible to give a fair vote or comment with that size.
I would really like to see this in hi-res. Please try finding a solution to the crash issue. If you can't solve the problem - maybe someone can render it for you, if you post what 3D-software you used.
this is stunning.. incredible, but unfortunatley, i can't really cast my vote. I'll vote for what i can see, but it's hard to make out the details, the lights, the colours, the textures, the reflections etc... good luck though - it looks beautiful from me
Not that much of a landscape, but I do like the sun.
I apologise for that, i wasn't sure about the contest, is it off-theme?
looks good too me
awesome
pesonally i think this is the only one so far that has complied with the theme
