My first successful hair render! He's not as cute as I would have liked, his eyes are kinda creepy. But he's so fuzzy and he's offering you the stars! How can you not love him?

Thanks loopyluv?
Superb
Thank you Lahoore!
sorry but the lens flares are not working for me. they distract from the otherwise nice picture. maybe they could be slightly less intense, and i feel they would also influence the lighting on the alien... Holding vote... GL
bjaockx: That's not lens flare. They're actually stars made out of box meshes! And they are lighting the alien exactly how they should be. 3D programs do the lighting, not the user. If there is a light source (i.e. the stars) the program figures out how the light effects the material that the light is bouncing off (i.e. the alien.) Therefore, I cannot fix the light. Feel free to vote as you please. And thank you for the feedback. It is appreciated.
Good one.....
Nice entry and hair render is very good. As a simple opinion maybe you can check if your 3D program have an option named â€exclude†or something like that. Should be on light parameters and allow you to exclude objects from receiving lights or casting shadows. Good luck.
very interesting effect with those star busts, I like the fur also good job
well you got a pretty decent vote from me, but it still seems under lit for the intensity of the light sources right next to the object... i am aware of how 3d programs work.... maybe the light points need to have their intensity turned up... instread of taking the 3d program's word for it, think about how intensely a star's light would shine upon everything near it... or else don't call those lights "stars".... they could be sprites instead ;] GL!
Ok, bjaockx. I understand. I don't really think that it will do me much good at this point, though, to change it. I kinda like it that way, though. Maybe they would be better called sprites rather than stars!
