Cool render, where is the pic, in the framed photo, from? If you made it, you should add a SBS for it , if not, you should post the source.

i wish after posting the source links and giving the credits to the site my entry don't get removed....

Each time I did a render it took 3 hours, the final render took 4 hours. I think it's all the glass and reflections, plus I have a water sphere inside the glass sphere which is refracting the refractions of the glass so I guess it gets a little complex.
In this scene the snowglobe is in a glass display cabinet. I was going for realism here and hope I did it well enough, its a huge image, A4 international paper size 300dpi. (5 years and 3354 days ago)

Nice work, but what is the brown thing in the lower LH corner? It looks like a really weird sandwich...
Interesting image...IMHO leaves is to big compared with Santa and the car...also in high resolution image look to granulated, and noise is clearly visible...good luck author
@mossyb : That in the corner is just the way the ivy has grown.
@erathion : I added the film grain in photoshop, I know its a bit strong, but even though I lowered the exposure on the santa pic it was still looking very superimposed on the final render, so I added the grain to try and unite all the elements of the picture.
I guess you are right about the scale of the leaves being a bit big. I was struggling with the ivy as the plugin seems to want to close Max down all the time with no warning - it was driving me mad by the time I got this render.
Neat
Cool, congrats for 3rd
