Plastic dose not rust it only degrades. Plastic is made from many elements depends on what sort of plastic it is. Ethylene, propylene carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, chlorine, nitrogen, fluorine, silicon, So in general “Monomers” are made of atoms, which are extracted from organic substances like oil and sap from certain trees. These are then placed in a reactor and combined with a catalyst to make a “polymer” a chain of molecules repeated again and again held together in a linear chain.

So using my imagination I would say that the casing and some of the face and buttons are much like the old Nokia 6700 classic metal……
