Maybe the shadow needs to be a little more transparent. It's too dark, like some solid object is behind the light.

i haven't touch 3ds max in 3 years so my modeling sucks...again. i even forgot how to put a material in a model O.o

yeah...it's weird this pic is so blurry it looks a bit like jello. my final image is very sharp though so i wonder what went wrong when i upload it 
edit: i just remember how dismaying 3ds max handles jpeg compression

created with 3ds max 9 and mental ray renderer..I rethought the background because my heart seemed to disappear in the other one..I created the stripes using photoshop and imported them into max as a texture (5 years and 3697 days ago)
