Nice, looks painted!
I really like the texturing, but It's hard to make out any more than that because of Low Res and lack of light. The SBS shows the modeling better, I'll vote with that in mind instead.
itz looking gud
I was really too short too work more the rendering, but i will improve it, changing the pose and add a background soon...
Author: I can understand that. I can't speak for others, but I'm keeping that in mind on my vote. Please send me a link if you render a proper setup in the future, I'm curious about the result.
I have probably made a mistake when Iv' uploaded the file for the contest, so this image is visible in full res on the following link : http://www.pxleyes.com/images/users/T/Troma/1035/fullsize/4afdf9e1f3fdf.jpgvis
good entry
Congrats for your second place, Troma!
Congratulations for 2nd

Congrats Troma! I actually think you should have my 1st place. The details in your model was way better than mine.

Beautifully done!
nice!!
made in ? sbs?
The resolution is too low to view the details and give you a fair review. I hope you have time to render a bigger image before the deadline. And I would really like to see the SBS.

well done.. I love it..
Good job with the hair
As for the model itself, you might want to round off the area between the forehead and the nose as it currently is a bit reinforced
yes Tanzim... its good job with hair.. I won't mind the forehead and nose area as it looks like a character from one of those animated movies such as open season, toy story etc... but its with author, if he/she feels like to.. then sure..
original entry -- well executed good luck !
iquraishi, sorry I didn't understand that first line, is that sarcasm or were you agreeing with me?
Yes, I should've kept that in mind, if he/she can model that well I'm sure he/she knows what their doing.
I was agreeing with you tanzim.. apologies if you felt any other way..
Thanks for your encouraging comments guys.
This is my first real attempt at organic modeling and I'm glad you all like the hair as it gave me quite a lot of trouble to comb. I think the model was easier than adding the hair!
This horse was modeled on an Arabian, which typically have wide foreheads and dishy faces, although I probably exaggerated this a bit. (I think the angle of my front on reference photograph wasn't quite straight).
Very good for a first organic. Even for a second or third The real problem is with lights. You can hide or attenuate modeling errors plaiyng with 2 or 3 fill lights from back. For the moment the left/front light is too strong. Good luck
i like it
Congrats, she's beautiful
Congratulations Falkor for the 1st rank.. somewhere I knew that this was going to win...
Congratulations!
