I drew the heart map myself on a piece of paper and scanned it in and saved as a jpg. map, then used it as a texture map. (5 years and 3031 days ago)

The tip of the pencil is too sharp, and the outside painted edge where it is sharpened is too angular - it needs to be more rounded. Also, the bright highlight on the side is out of place and inconsistent with the rest of the image. Otherwise, this is a very good render!

I created the map for the journal lines in photoshop.

Note that the material on the metal parts of the journal is taken from the pencil materials. (5 years and 3032 days ago)

Really nice work, down to the subtle wood grain on the pencil tip.
The overall lighting is a bit too bright, but the excellent rendering makes that a somewhat moot point. Very well done!
