Pheew.. I had fun making this one.. Well some fun and some anger as always. I'm quite happy with the end result.
I rendered in Mental Ray, and used an Omni to light the entire scene.
Allot of textures were used to produce this so I decided to post them in the description because it would take ages if I did the Source 1 and 2 ect...

Looking at step 1 you like 3D for one of the same reasons I do. I can't draw to save myself but in 3D I can come up with some cool images
What are the tall barrels for?
Anything I suppose... I wasn't exactly thinking about what it was that was going to me in them... Maybe some wheat or just simply some trash...
Maybe if you make smoothed edges it would be better.

Wish you had added some background, but the phone itself looks very real with that slight bit of rust, really looks like metal. Interesting way you did the dial.

Dedicated to my sister...
This kitchen is from memories of my childhood, in my grand parents place.
Electricity was luxury so grinding, pounding was done manually. Fire wood was used as fuel. Houses were tiled roof. Milk products were hung to the roof as in picture to protect from cats... :) Most of the utensils were mud pots, and rarely aluminium, bronze and props like seats, chair were wooden. Every house had abundant greenery surrounding it. Thanks to this contest for chance to refresh my memories. :) (5 years and 3639 days ago)
cool scene...like ancient homes from video games...good luck author
Yea, definitely looks like a scene from Oblivion or something. Good work.

Nice render, just a thing: try to make joints between wall tiles without reflection (tile adhesive don't reflex) Good luck!
You are so right enblanco, thanks for the spot. Made a correction.
The light reflections on the base showing on the tiles do not correspond with the direct light source reflection on the base itself (it's all a bit too bright, as well). The walking stick itself shows NO light reflections or refractions, which is odd, considering that the black lacquer of the stick, and most likely the "8 ball" on top would show something, and not just be flat, matte black...
Lovely render, just needs a little tweaking.
Nice, but I would adjust the uvw map of the floor so that the tiles on the right are not cut in half.
Thats better!
That is either some new or very clean tile, the reflections look so real! Very nice work, author, I like that you made the diamond design in photoshop. Clever stick for a hustler.
Great improvement, wonderful results!
