this slum was made in autodesk 3ds max and rendered in mental ray day light system.Texturing was done by using autodesk default materials library maps.Have a look at my work.Thanks (5 years and 3366 days ago)

Pheew.. I had fun making this one.. Well some fun and some anger as always. I'm quite happy with the end result.
I rendered in Mental Ray, and used an Omni to light the entire scene.
Allot of textures were used to produce this so I decided to post them in the description because it would take ages if I did the Source 1 and 2 ect...

Looking at step 1 you like 3D for one of the same reasons I do. I can't draw to save myself but in 3D I can come up with some cool images
What are the tall barrels for?
Anything I suppose... I wasn't exactly thinking about what it was that was going to me in them... Maybe some wheat or just simply some trash...
Maybe if you make smoothed edges it would be better.

Just my personal opinion -
As per my view it is night scene and shadow is too harsh if you can fix it with blur and soft shadow it will surely look more nice.
Upper door and windows are not looking good remove them or fix them.
