From the hallows it emerged. I created all of the maps.
I created the hand using a box and just used diffuse colors for the material. The hole was made by rearranging vertices on a plane and then insetting and dragging the inner polygons down. The ground material was created by using a dark brown background in Photoshop and then using root brushes, I made it look like cracked earth. I then desaturated the image and adjusted the levels for a bump map. The bump map was set to 45. I made two omni lights (one red, one yellow) in the bottom of the hole to simulate fire, and one omni light in the back tinted dark orange. I then spiced it up with a little volume fog and done. something is off in this render, i think you need to fidle with the exposure in the scene because the sky is blownout to pure white altough the hdr image seems to be shot on an overecast day
