Followed the this tutorial http://www.pxleyes.com/video-tutorial/maya/5964/Deformers-and-Subdivions---Decorative-Vase.html and added a few touches of my own.

The texture from the table is from a file that my 3D instructor included in an assignment. I honestly don't know where it came from. If that is a problem, I will find or create my own. (5 years and 3063 days ago)

Its quite nice and I like that theme but the painting looks odd to me, I think that if you were to make the whole thing sketched it would look better, like a painting someone who actually display on their wall.

I see only one organic element...picture frame is made of wood but still is man's craft...

author says:

water is main object of my image and its natural , not man-made......vase is half fill with water.

Hope the voters will appriciate the real value and knowledge of this entry. As for me...few things dont let me sleep. Suppose you have a variance of Tile map in displacement. OK.In diffuse few colors . OK. But where is from this damn hair which kill me, is absolute fabulous. Could be a very small noise in bump ?Good luck, i'll not sleep tonight triyng to re-create this material.

Excellent job!

It looks really good (except from a dull background)! Reasonable specularity and and great bump/displacing makes it look natural.

The only things I can come up with is that the procedural maps could have been less uniform. I would also have wanted to view it in higher resolution, and seen a detailed SBS about the texturing. I think there's lots to learn from it.

Good job anyway!
