Good 'N' new concept ... author, Gud Luck..
Very nice, love it. But it needs a SBS Many thanks.
Very original and very well constructed. NICE!
thanx..
Hrm, how would the balls go down the holes if they are floating?
the balls will go down the same way the water goes down. The water is continuosly circulated to maintain the level within the pool area (similar to an infinity edge swimming pool)
Great idea.
no offence ! just IMO....too much similarity with this model and it's free on the web.... http://www.archibase.net/download/30374.html......and i try to render that, and look at what i obtained...https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B2xro3CDJYn5YzE3ZDEzYTUtM2M4Yi00NzI5LTk5NWEtNTE4MjYwOTc4MWU1&hl=en&authkey=CKzih5oB....nice pool table with too much similarity!? (I don't think you can get in step 2 that the shape that you wanted to suggest us...IMO !!!) So, I am not convinced that you did this pool table...
PS
and if you want, here: http://www.pxleyes.com/xxxxxxxxxxxxx, i can prove to you that the boat it's not your conception!...do you want that....
Hrm, very interesting genuine!!! Looks like the author has been caught out cheating!
If this is true than I really have no respect for you at all author.
similar is putting it mildly
hi genuine Can u check Final Image n SBS now...
.....author....you are not corectly.....the idea is that you tried to "cheat"....you don't have the courage to assume what you did?!....ok...going in life!
hahahahahahaha...fantastic concept and great execution...best of luck

this view is based on Kevin Reynolds legend movie Water World, where the polar ice caps have melted and most of Earth is underwater and people build ther world on the water.. (5 years and 3195 days ago)
Good one yaar......
thanx ....
Looks very good.
Fenomenal!
Author, this looks good, but please upload your sbs as well as a description, per the contest guidelines. A hi-res would be nice, too.
Edit: very nice work, good sbs. Great point of view, but c'mon, check the hi-res box.
thanx for comment...
amazing
Sweet, awesome image, how deep is the foundation?
@sgc, they wont be very deep as they float. The structure is probably made from foam. LOL
Good picture , based on a wonderful movie. Good job.
Very nice job... but some movie isn't a legend.
This is perfect entry...one of the best renders here IMHO...best of luck author
thanx a lot..
uploaded hi-res
instead of saying it's "Waterworld," a movie - just say it's Atlantis in the process of sinking. Atlantis is a real legend
awesome
Congrats, terrific work
Nice Job Congrats
thanx everyone.......
Congrats for 1st place, great model and render.

Really nice almost magical concept! Great kjob author! gl!
Author, the final look is indeed good but the contest is basically about the boat and this is the one thing you haven't demonstrated in your SBS. If you have made it with lines, then please show the stages since I myself have tried to model a paper boat from lines-it may look simple, but I know from that experience that it's far from easy. Hope to see that soon I'll reserve my vote till then.
I too would like to see that
Well I didn't really make a realistic model of the paper boat I created myself (irl), I only made it to look like it.
That doesn't matter, you need to show how you made your model.
An updated sbs will be up in a few minutes
Really nice 3d work, but the shadow on the left is way too dark. Ambient lighting as well as water reflections wouldn't have that cute boat dropping off into such darkness. Lighten it up a bit, and you have a great image!
Thanks MossyB, but we're past the deadline for this contest so I can't really do much about it. Although I was trying to create a wet paper look for the bottom, I didn't get the time to do it on this image. But I think the shadows kinda give the impression of wet paper as it is now.
It’s a cool idea and a nice image but dose not really fall in the (Model a boat with as much detail as possible Category) couple things for future reference or consideration
white light ( if there is such a thing) consist of the three primary colors red, green and blue so if “white light†is shining on your boat, then it is most likely to absorbs the blue light and green and red is reflected giving the boat a yellow tint more so in with the chosen background, plus you should see a little transparency as well.
Thanks Warlock.
With the daylight system, the color of the sun (light) changes colors automaticly and with the settings I used, the light had a yellow/orange tint. So if you open the image in photoshop you can see that the white color on the boat does have more yellowish color than the others. The outside of the boat also gets colors from the water.
Also, the contest also says "any kind of boat will do", which should include this paper boat inside the contest rules.
So it dose….bit contradictory would you say. What I will add is don’t completely rely on your application to do it for you, there will be times when it will not get it right, always good to have a sound knowledge base.
Great thinking...well done author...extra points for unique thinking...gl
