It would be nice if this showed more depth than just a basic line drawing. While it would look good as a coloring book page, it's somewhat lacking and bland beyond that.

Your drawing isn't in perspective at all, when lines are all parallel it's called an oblique drawing. This should be in the most basic type of perspective called one point perspective, the most fundamental kind and the first thing you'd learn in a basic drawing class. The depth of the cube is visually greater than the height and width making it appear oblong. You can find a basic description of perspective here: http://www.pxleyes.com/drawing-picture/4e615a3dbecaa/B-amp-W.html . Perspective can be difficult but you should find these simple rules helpful.
