Amazing piece of work

HA! That's brilliant! I so don't want to hook that anytime I go fishing! LOVE IT! There is a little bit of squareness to the left bottom leg section going into the foot, and the upper left arm seems a bit long proportion wise, but those are just marginal nit picks, and don't take away from the dynamics of this, It's a great story, and a very lovely draw!

Very very nice! Few things that look a little unlogical to me (the two big folds in the jacket for example). But overall this is an amazing drawing

WONDERFUL!
Ressiv: the two folds going horizontally is completely logical. Think about a long coat getting stuck on your pant leg as you are walking--it gets stuck at a certain point and your leg goes further back so it brings the coat up more resulting in folds.

They can't be straight on the folds above it. The folds above that are 90 degrees of the bigger folds would blend into the other folds. Well it's hard to explain in bad english :P It's just a very small suggestion anyway. Like you said it's WONDERFUL the way it is now

Totally awesome job on this !! My only complaint would be more steps in your sbs to see how you got from the drawing to the more detailed coloring part. Not a biggy but this quality of work should be played out for the voters to drool over. Very Nice and definitely at the top !!

yes, agree with Drivenslush about the paper used. I've always liked the look of paper with fibers in it. very good complement to the colors used in the illustration.

Awesome, glad you guys like it. The paper I used was from a tanned sketchbook from Utrecht. Also the materials used were .05 mechanical art pencil (B lead), Derwent Sanguine Pencils, White charcoal, and .01 micron pen.

That's so interesting to have two entries about the same card in this contest, but the approaches are on the opposite ways, one goes to heaven and one goes to hell, what a coincidence! About this work I love everything from the composition, colors and details, especially the river of zombie. The design of the angel is awesomely cool, I always want to make an angel like that. The words don't work well for me tho, and I think because of the constraint in time you decided to use them. Very nice, and high mark from me!

Oh *sigh* beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The way you have the lighting, the pontoon coffin-raft, the sentries by the gate...everything. I love your vision of card 13 and want to see the rest of the deck.

Very well done but have to agree with Langstum on the lettering , doesn't fit real well into your image. The lower numerals should be toned down some also as they are a bit distracting. But I love your scene and the quality of your work is very good.

Definitely agree on the text, I wanted to use a boney texture, but it somehow came out metallic, due to a certain chain of events yesterday I had to settle with this.

IDt8r Sorry for not responding sooner, I am currently a student, but I'm self taught in digital painting, apparently now matter how much it is used in the industry, some schools including mine find it less of an art form and only have a few classes that allow digital painting.
