First of all, thankyou all for the nice comments!! TankRed, infrared photography is the art of capturing invisible light. In my case, I use a dslr that has had the inner filter that actually blocks ir rays removed and replaced with another one that allows max ir rays. In doing this, you can no longer take normal color pictures but it has loads of artistic capabilities. I have set the white balance by taking a photo of some green leaves or grass that is well lit and use that color as my white balance. Some ir filters allow more ir rays through than others, that is where the unique colors come from. I do the processing on mine in Lightroom with some custom settings that I have developed just for the certain cameras I use.
Shot this through a glass in a dark reptile room at the wild animal park. Just a bit of sun shining in from a skylight above (5 years and 3043 days ago)
I'm not sure if this qualifies as film noir or not (although I'm sure kyricom or Ade will let us know ) But it's a damn fine photo that's for sure!

Thankyou for you comment, glad you like the photo. Was following examples such as the one in the link
Looks right to me! The only thing I'd say is wrong (and I don't think really matters, but if I don't say it someone else will) is the woman's hair style, it's a bit too modern in my opinion, but I might be wrong.
Thats amazing! Just curious, what does infrared exactly do to a photo?
awesome capture!!!!!!
Looks like an old 1950's monster movie!
