you should perhaps have cropped your scan better

i think it is some thing on the scaners top. their is nothing on the real picture.

and the red mark in top right corner?

better.........now all it needs is some contrast, and sharpening...it is a little light, and a little oof.

I thing this picture needs to be straightened and contrast added.

It's perhaps for the rocks behind ... But if it is, we don't see it at first sight.
