The SBS isn't fully complete, I'm pooped right now lol. Basically for the rest is just creating the trees with the pen tool, and lots of different brushes for the snow and star.

Would definitely love comments/critiques, they make me happy

This is a really funny Droste ( yup, i learned a new word from jawshoewhah).

I think it would look better with snow flakes on the entire image not just on her, and this would also take eyes off the background.
You know what would be awesome d'apres moi ? To apply the same highlights on the same image and make it look like someone even bigger is holding her.

@greymval, I purposely put the snow just on her to make it look like because she shook the globe with her in it, it just snows over her. As for your other idea, my boyfriend and I had that same exact idea, but I didn't want to put too many details into it and make it cluttered. But thanks for the thought!

Hi Pxleye members. I'm still in the beginner level on this site and try my best to make the best images I can, but I get a bit disheartened that I rarely ever get comments, whether good or bad. I would really love to learn more because art is what I want to do in my life. Comments are really greatly welcomed

This is an extremely good piece for a beginner ... a few little things I noticed. There is a bit of blur on the base that the Teddy is sitting on - just up from the bottom. Joining of the legs could be a little less "smudgie" and there is a bit of redundent cloning by his neck on the left side (my left as I look at him ;D). Shadows are not quite right but I have problems with those myself so not sure what you could do to fix them ... and the base look a little like it is "tilting' forward.

I know that it is too late to fix anything now but thought I would let you know for future entries ... sorry about being late but I was sick and just did not have time this week to get to it before

These are all pretty minor problems; I had to look at it in Hi Res to catch them. As I said at the beginning, it is a wonderful image and you have done a very good job ... keep up this way and you are definitely going in the right direction! Bravo!

You did a good job on the making of the teddy bear from stones. You will learn more here at the contests.... Just be patient, it takes time to be a master....but you will.... good luck.

Great idea, nice touch with the wing made of fingers.
The first thing we learn in statue tutorials is to remove the eyes(iris), i think you should try it since you aimed to make a sculpture ( right?)
The pedestal should at least have some shadows to look like it's round, the way you made that pole.
There's a discontinuity from the shadowcast and the edge of the foreground. Just make the shadow on the wall continuosly at the bottom.
That little baby turned out well.

Hey thank you for the comment! I was going for statue, and knew that the eyes needed to be blank to complete that look, but I like it with the eyes. I may play around with it without the eyes and if it turns out cool I'll turn that in. As for the pedestal, I wanted it to be square, the pole is coming from the center of the squares. I will, however change the shadow, I noticed that as well, but I thought the black border would have taken away from that...guess I was wrong hehe.

Anyway thank you again for the suggestions, but I will have to say I like my final piece as is (except the shadow).

UPDATE: I changed the shadow, and decided to do the "statue eyes" because I thought it came out pretty well, although I like the old version too. More comments are welcome

Thank you so much! I came up with the wing idea while I was making the bust. I was stuck on what to do after I got the heads done, and for some reason the idea of making a wing out of my hands just popped up (I get those crazy ideas from time to time). I'm glad you guys like it

Edit: After a second look, it is a bit on the flat side and could do with a stronger light soruce from left to right giving more contrast and depth between shadows and light.

It's a strong image, author. But try to arrange her hair a bit to hide her nipple, because there are children that can surf this site. It's just an advice to avoid any trouble, ok?
