this is nice but i would have been more impressed if this was fully done in photoshop since you didnt had to take care of reflections and shadows yourself. Your 3d program basically did the work for you here.. no offense, it doesnt look bad at all though
No offense taken Eladine, but had the idea and thought best way to achieve it was to utilise 3d prog. this first real work in 3d for me so it was a chance for me to learn bit of the program.
If you squint, the face on the block with the letter A on it disappears.
I don't know if the 3D program lit this for you, but a bit of artistic license might make this look a bit stronger if that surface was lightened a bit, so as to read it better. (not so we can read the letter, but so that it reads as a block.)
Then again, it might just be my monitor... Good luck in the contest.
I've always been amazed at the FONT makers... nice twist on the contest.. good luck (though a capital version would really push it over the top)
