You photoshopped the source too much. I can't tell you used it. You could of got this same effect out of almost anything.

Interesting, but you lost a lot of detail in the eyes...
Nice job, but if you used adjustment layers, work on their masks to show the eyes underneath.

Good work, but if you used the tutorial be sure to give it credit.
Now, this is a cool way of making lights, but really, you could've done it on something more complex, not just a wall....

Nice job! Would have been a bit more exciting if you had something in front of the wall/curtain receiving the lighting.

This is interesting but I think the resolutions are too different. I would try increasing a gausian blur for the few farther away.
