The work with the source image is lovely, but the brushes distract from the work you put in, seem like an after thought to fill in space.

I know a lot of people don't like brushes and I normally don't either. In this case tho, I planned my design around these specific brushes I wanted to use. I had them at home but not where i was doing this so i went to download them. I wasn't going for realistic, you could very well say the whole thing is "phoney" that is what i was going for. Totally abstract and etheral looking. If i wanted to "fill space" I would have used more of the pods. I wanted the focus to be on the flower and pod and use the rest of the space to enhance the focus of the piece. Thanks!

I think the shadow would be taller...good image, though.

Actually if you look at the original source, the shadow is from that, I just placed the bottle and shadow for that to match the original source.

There is something wrong with the perspective and depth in this image. It looks now that the distance from the bottom of the bottle to the wall is a couple of feet. But then there would be no shadow from the bottle on the wall at all. What you could do is drop the horizontal line between the wall and the table untill just a bit above the bottom of the bottle. And a shadow also makes a reflection onto a shiny surface(=mirror).

Sander, I don't see a couple feet in the distance of the bottle to the wall?? And I had also thought cognativly that the shadow would reflect (the surface is not a mirror either) and then looked at real world situations and discovered that the shadow in fact doesn't reflect at this level of shiny surface. Which is why I changed the image from the last step (my previous final image from PST).

Nice job! Maybe you could adjust the level of noise on some of the walls or blur the furthest point more to give it a depth of field. Right now, the noise looks a bit too uniform. Is that a wall of sand beyond the maze? It isn't clear what that is...I like how you arrived at the perspective in your SBS. I really like the look of this image...very intriguing.

it's so sandy it makes my eyes water.. but i think that's what makes it so excellent... it sorta forces your eyes to focus on the couple.. I like that.. good luck author

thanks all. It isn't the shoreline, it is a breaker/retaining wall of sand, not rigidly formed like the maze just pushed up like when you build a moat for a sand castle.
