For those of you who don’t know yet, Poser is a 3D rendering and animation software program (by Smith Micro Inc., 8th release at the time of writing) optimized for models that depict the human figure in three-dimensional form, mostly used to pose and animate the figures in a similar way as a mannequin. This is done by so called “Primitive zygotes”, spheres, cubes and other shapes. Combinations result in incredibly realistic 3D models of humans. Poser is a user-friendly program, which you can master easily if you invest some time in researching some tutorials. Best of all, it’s compatible with 3DS-Max and Maya, so you can easily import realistic looking 3D renders from Poser straight into your 3D software. In this post we’ve collected 40 of the best Poser tutorials for you, from beginner to advanced. If you’re already familiar with Poser, you can skip straight onto the advanced section!
