The Beauty of Typical Australian Fauna in 50 Pictures

Down Under, we find a great range of different species. Due to the continent’s long geographic isolation, and tectonic stability, most animals living in Australia are found nowhere else in the world. Best-known are the marsupials. They are the group of mammals commonly thought of as pouched mammals. They stay in the pouch till they are fully developed. The kookaburra and the cassowary are two of the many unique birds. And last but not least, there are many deadly animals like crocodiles, snakes and sharks, spiders and jellyfish. A beautiful country, with a huge variety of animals. Here’s a selection of the 50 typical animals from Down Under.

Not a bad collectiion but I can tell you with out a doubt that the fish called “Barramundi” is most definately not an Australian Barramundi. It is more likely to be some sort of cod. If you google barramundi you will see that it’s not like one at all

the Possum picture is actually an “OPOSSUM” which is not australian.
