92. Zombies

Contest goal:
Horror movies have some of the most iconic and memorable covers and posters. Some unforgettable examples are: Frankenstein, The Amityville Horror, The Silence of The Lambs, Child’s Play, and Psycho. Imagine you a freelance photographer who has just gotten a request from a production company to take a photograph for their upcoming horror movie. The Hollywood buzz is that this particular horror film may surpass all others before it in gross sales so the production company wants to make sure that the picture they use for the cover will be able to stand against the other classics for all time. The ideal shot will be something that conveys the fact that it is a horror film without being too graphic. Also since this will be a classic style film the shot needs to have a classic feel to it. As with the last photo assignment contest, voters please take into consideration the ASSIGNMENT and whether the entry meets this criteria. Just because it looks like a cool picture, doesn’t mean you should vote high on this one. This one is about following the directions of the theme and being a quality photo.

23. Last Wish…

Contest goal:
Browsing through portfolios of models, we see those extreme over-the-top posed photos. Poses we really never ever take even once in our lives, clothes we would never wear, make up in 3 inches thick… and if we do and get caught doing so on photo we are embarrassed for the rest of our lives. Get your 1980’s make-up kits out, create a dress out of paper, paint hair in 3 different colors and get your dogs covered in gel… This contest is about those shots: they MUST be posed and over-the-top, the more extreme the better. Just an weird pose is not enough, it must be a combination of weird pose, extreme make up and or out of the ordinary clothes.

19. And the time.. stops

18. Light pen

Contest goal:
Most photography discussions are about how the light in photos looks, but never about how the actual light source looks. In this contest, we’re giving attention to the objects that provide us the light. In other words, capture an actual light source on photo… e.g A camera flash, a light bulb, a candle,… there can only be ONE visible light source in the photo and it has to be turned on.
