Ever since the old times, people wanted to immortalize special moments in their lives. Because technology was not really helping ages ago, they started picturing and drawing life scenes on cave walls, sculpting in mud and later on make oil paintings and portraits.
As times passed, more advanced ways of saving precious memories developed – photography is one of them, along with films and recordings. Before digital photography got popular, the film cameras did a pretty good job at the time. Some still do.
Today’s showcase on pxleyes.com focuses on vintage photography, either scanned from old paper photos, or “enhanced” to a more decayed artistic look in post editing programs, such as Photoshop or the GIMP. A wonderful collection of 50 photos, all dreamy and nostalgic, for the sake of things that never lose value through time, a collection that celebrates the true romantic era.
