Sometime ago I had seen these type of gifs on the internet, I was impressed, and tried to duplicate them in Photoshop with disappointing results, so I looked into morphing software, and that was the answer. There are several available, I settled for one called Morpheus, and practiced with it and was pleased with the results, so when I saw this contest I dusted off the program and got the opportunity to use it again. If anyone wants more info, PM me.
