I absolutely love the way you put the shoes together. I like the way you tried to be creative also. For me though, shoes like this say "fashion" and the surroundings don't really show "fashion". If you had a sign out there with a big X on it or something, the photo might make a statement. The lighting, rule of thirds, color, focus and crispness is great!
I think the author is trying, precisely, to create a statement of "conflict of dis-similarities", in putting a pair of fashionable shoes in an unlikely setting, hence heightening it's visual and emotional impact, like shooting a well-manicured pair of hands doing iron-mongery or something rough and dirty like that.
I'm going to get in trouble for this. It's a great shot, but totally off theme.
I have red flagged it twice.
Goal was "The whole feather should be visible and be the main object in your shot."
author says:
In my opinion its on theme, as the first thing I look at is the feather, i have used dof, so the whole cat is not in focas n there is nowhere in guide lines does it say no other object in the shot. n if it is off topic at this late stage, im sure it will be voted on accordingly......
author says:
n it is a whole feather just a small 1 from a moulting bird.

I find the photo very original, and where will the owner who was raised in a hurry shoes? a thriller?
I like that the 2 textures combine sort of. Maybe a person would have wanted to cross the river without getting her shoes ruined?
I like the juxtaposition of the fancy shoes out away from civilization
Howdie stranger!
