Wonderful result, and an excellent use of the source! And even though the concept of a mushroom house is a little dated, this entry looks amazing.

From your SBS it looks like you spent a lot of time on the mushroom guy you created, but he's not too visible in the final image, i suggest brightening that up a little to make him pop out some more.

Ponti55, initially I wanted the mushroom man to be there as something you 'just' see coming into the light, overlooking his house ('coming home')... but... after the jpeg save... he did look a little darker than the psd... so I lightly erased the vignette to boost him up a little... it's only very slight but anymore and ill have to illuminate the foreground more which I'm trying not to do.... however I'm sure you don't want to read the explanation... just to know that I took your advice LOL!!!!...

Good suggestion ponti55, slight change really makes a nice enhancement. Author your explanation is most helpful in understanding your thoughts in creating this fine work.

Cool little 'shroom house! I like that crooked chimney, very Tim Burton/storybook looking. Very nice work, author. How the man fits in there? Why, I'll bet he eats a little bit of the 'shroom and "gets small"........

Love the whole image ... your Mushroom guy is wonderful and I noticed him and got the whole feeling of coming home. The atmosphere you have created with a few mushrooms and some magical lighting is ... well, magical! Extremely excellent work!

this is sweet. what does goku even mean?? i know its a characters name on dragon ball z hahah. i haven't watch it in a long time though. the koi fish seems a little big. it would be amazing if your island was like a ying yang because that would definitly fit with everything. but overal it is a really great image. i like it alot. probably one of my favorites. gl

yeah it's a name... my theme is monkey king... (you know it?) - and dragonball Z was apparently inspired by it hence goku!?! - Yeah the Koi is meant to be big... it's all gods and mythology and all that... lol.

The wave on the right is not in theright perspective. I understand this is supposed to be abstract and just my opinion, not quite on theme.

Jawshoewhah: I know the wave looks a little odd... and as for being off theme... I think I have satisfied the goal / brief: I've fulfilled each point; it's new, it's obvious it's a country of some sort, i've highlighted the features, I've given it a name... but I appreciate you understand that its abstract :P
