Good idea, but you can see in Step 3 that the photo is too distorted. Should be a simple fix.

I can indeed! My point is that it doesn't have to be distorted compared to the original painting. You can do better.
a little bit of overlap on the top right corner could also be fixed

Good stuff here.
Change the wooden material on the door, and also change the projection method. Add a rim to the mat and displacement to the bricks. Also try making the bike yourself if its in your scene. Those are just my suggestions to make this a better entry.
