Thank you George.
Make sure it's as convincing and believable as possible. Even in hi-res people should have a hard time determining if the photo is fake or not. That's what the contest description said, right?
Congrats Loyd, your alien spaceships are very well done indeed!

Thanks "Z," i have been trying to learn the 3D aspect of photoshop. There is a considerable learning curve and a lot of work put into generating these models. Give it a try.
I tried several times to open the 3d segment of photoshop... just a few seconds. Gave me headache! So I'm full of admiration for those who can make something out of this fierce interface

Good job although that tutorial seemed incomplete. In the final image of the tutorial, it has some sort of lens type flare, a glow around the planet, and some pretty hard highlight brushing.

CONTEST GOAL:
The title pretty much explains it. Find any tutorial on the internet and follow it (and possibly give it your own interpretation). Don't forget to mention the tutorial you interpreted.
Do NOT do the tutorial by the letter but give it your own twist. Using the given sources at your tutorial may NOT be used; find your own!
Now that's one HUGE calamari (or the left overs from a bris..oh I'm terrible)... has the feel of those Circles in the Sky over Israel... hehehe.. super neato!

Just lose the square highlight and you're good to go. Love the Latin motto.
Thanks Bob for noticing my Latin motto, also, you were right about the square reflection. It was bothering me too. Here's an edited edition. Thanks
