a small suggestion...duplicate the layer...then with the pen tool trace around the inside of the hole, around the motor..select, delete..then add a shadow on that layer...this will cast a small shadow on the engine

Funny image. In case you already put some shadow on the engine, I'd recommend to add some more. Especially on the left side and top of the engine. Nitpick suggestion to soften the edges from the toolbox a bit. Good luck!
