Copy the other leg, paste in, and erase edges. Give it a try.
you could clone the other leg, also look at the "dirt" arround the ears and top of the cow head, another tip, rn a very small and soft blur over the edge of the cow the it blends in a lil beter with the background and very small mistakes will get masked somewhat with that technique too. I also sense some "lines"in your imagecaused by the fence that u removed, , theres one right above the cow eyes, one right thru the cow nose , a lil below that another, and thru his knees one too. as if you copy paste the cow in parts u should try cover that up a little better. But its a good choice of sources they fit well together.
Thanks guys I will fix the problems after work tonight
It looks like you have little bits and pieces that need to be masked out above the head. I think fixing that will make this image much better!
I'll hold off voting since you're looking at submitting another after work. Here's something you might experiment with to hide the ghosting created from removing the wire. Try using a one pixel 100% Hardness setting on the smudge tool brush and set to 95% strength or a little lower or higher to flavor Click on strands of hair above the wire ghosts and try to follow the flow of hair to a point below the wire ghosting. This should net you some realistic looking cover-up.
I like the backgound choice, it really brightens up the scene.
I tried to fix it up a bit not sure if I did more damage or not thank you for all your help!
it looks very good now great work
Great fix...GL author!
now if you want to get more work on it you can always improve it by working on the fur. heres a tutorial I wrote that can help you with the fur work, http://www.pxleyes.com/tutorial/photoshop/1253/How-To-Make-Puss-in-Boots.html im sure there are plenty other tuts arround about his subject though. anyhow good job so far
I like the fix. Good one.
Author, your background picture works very well with this source. You have done a great job getting rid of the fence wire. A couple of observations I have are: 1. The cow's right rear leg (to the viewers left) down low there is a green smudged area, try using a clone tool to fix that area. 2. The edges of the cow are a little hard, you might try using a very small size brush for your smudge tool and lightly brush out wards to bring out some "fuzziness" of the cows hair and as eladine say's the blur tool works good for stuff like blending edges too.
All in all a pretty good job.
