cut back on the "crosshatch" star brushes or at least vary their sizes and opacity. The lights will also reflect on the clouds, so that may be something you can explore. The part in the middle looks almost like water indead of clouds. Nice mood/colors over all.

i like what you did but im not sure about the people. it looks like you have a reflection that is in water, but then you have people so i guess they must be on the ground. well i still think its good.

Coltranized, the fireworks come from somewhere beyond the lighted marina in front of the city.

Good job, and congratulations on making great use of your new tablet! The fireworks could use a little bit more glow by adding a few hot spots with the dodge tool, and or by adding a simple filter or layers style (inner or outer glow) to give it a nice warm feeling for fireworks.
