TRADITIONAL DRAWING: We all know these paintings with crying children (see fi Giovanni Bragolin aka Bruno Amadio), some people like them and some see it as bad luck to have it hanging in the house. Here you can see a nice example. Your goal this week is to make another fine addition to this genre. Make it your style, don't copy someone elses style. Good luck!
This is really very nice work. Try easing up on the pressure in some of the very dark areas, and use a q-tip to blend the graphite. Great lips and pout on the little girl.
This sketch depicts the confused state of a girl's mind - unable to identify herself as a child or a teen (adolescence) and just for this reason I made her to look a bit mature. Materials used HB pencils, water colour & cotton for blending. (5 years and 3667 days ago)
look not really children, but it's the good job. Good luck, author

Thank you langstrum, I wanted her to look mature because my sketch depicts the confused state of a girl's mind - unable to identify herself as a child or a teen (adolescence). She learns that she lost her innocence & this is the reason for her to cry.
I like the large black portion of the composition that is surrounding the face I think it gives the piece a feeling of lonlieness. However, you do have some serious proportion issues going on here check out this site http://www.anticz.com/heads.htm if you don't think it would help skip to the last page and look at this guys sketch books. The previous lesson is a prereq so you should give at a look as well. Keep drawing!
