Slaying monsters in the hood is all in a days work.
All done on 60lb sketch paper with a mechanical pencil, a rolled up stub of of the same 60lb paper to do the shading, and a knead-able eraser. (5 years and 3363 days ago)
Beautiful work ! g l

Very nice!!! Absolutly fantastic - but you need to get in a SBS in order to not get pulled.
Why would I need an SBS for drawing on paper with a pencil, I don't think so.
sorry bud, thems the rules, a lot of us fell victim to it. I dislike it as well because it interrupts the workflow. If you remember your process you can remake a similar one, people just want to see that you did it.
This ain't my first rodeo, but, ok we will see what the mods say.
When you upload the image it says that an SBS is optional but you have to mention all tools and techniques, which I did in the Author Description section.
But thanks for your concern.
agrees with jack..., and this is a fantastic job, adding an sbs will be safe.., gud luck
All you noobs, Enough of the SBS stuff!
None of my previous entries got removed and they did not have an SBS.
this is an awesome drawing, but maybe you should look at the guidelines for drawing--it clearly says
"To keep the contests fair, these contests require that you post at least 2 intermediate steps of your drawing in a step by step guide, so we can see the progress of your work. (also on older drawings; on those you can redraw a part of the entry. "
SBS. u shpuld b able to scan your progress or take pics of it!
If the mods want to pull it, so be it.
I drew it 3 years ago, and it took me 20 hours worth of work to do it. I am not about to spend 5 or 10 hours to redraw 2 intermediate steps.
If you think I'm cheating fine, Mods pull it. In fact I red flagged it myself.
all i can say is that I wish I had your talent its a stunning peice of work author, goodluck.
not to be a jerk, but there have been many old things I did before I found this site that I didn't enter just because I didn't have the steps for it. So many things that I did I could have entered but didn't because it went against rules. just saying...
read the rules for drawing----for old things you can draw a few steps new just to prove you have the talent.
Alright everyone, everything is out in the open, the author is right though, it is up to the mods to decide. Honestly, I don't think this deserves to be red flagged (even by the author) and I don't think the SBS should dictate whether this stays or goes, I don't doubt him what so ever. I really want to see this stay because it is good work, plus it will keep the competition on their toes, It's that one entry that changes the mindset of the contest to make people submit better work (no offense to the other entrants, the rendering makes this work seem more life like).
If I were mod, I wouldn't remove this entry. Normally I just look into the SBS in the case the entry looked very strange and professionally done, especially after voting, it revealed the author just registered by the time of submitting that work and didn't have any other activity. That's the normal suspect for art thieves. But, in your case, we don't have to doubt about that and you have an acceptable reason for lacking the SBS. Here we have the greatest entry in this contest so far and it's the shame to remove it.
It is a very nice drawing, and you as many others want to put up older work that fits themes. I think that would be right ok, but maybe it should be time for a change of rules. That would also open for more fantastic older entries, where lots of lots of hours and effort are behind the result
´Cause as good as this entry is - is it really ok to change the rules for one entry just beacuse it´s _that_ good. That wouldn´t be fair to all the others that been pulled or didn´t make entries at all.
I personally don´t doubt your authorization in this job, but I suggest that you do a "fake" sbs...just two steps for how it all started - that all the rules require.
Author the rules since you've uploaded your other entries have changed, the rules now demand at least 2 intermediate steps in your SBS. You are right that with the entries you made before the SBS wasn't mandatory but like said before this has changed.
Drawingcontestrules mention "To keep the contests fair, these contests require that you post at least 2 intermediate steps of your drawing in a step by step guide, so we can see the progress of your work. (also on older drawings; on those you can redraw a part of the entry."
We can't make an exception on this rule for this entry because the rules apply to everyone and we have removed entries on a regular base for this rule.
This should close the discussion on this matter.
Theres an entry in dancing animals , Koi that didn't have an SBS, and it wasn't pulled.
jbillitteri is exactly right and it managed to place in the top 7. Moderator consistency is a good thing.
To author: Damn Bubba, good work! ...pacify the rules and stroke out two little parts of a make shift sbs this is too damn good of a piece of work to get pulled over a silly technicality.
Where's the SBS? I AM JUST KIDDING.... It's quite obviously a hand draw.. excellent job.. only disappointment is that you weren't allowed to show the naughty bits.. would have really added to the overall effect... (I HATE CENSORSHIP) Heaven forbid if the kiddies see a nipple... eye roll
Great job author and good luck
Wonderful drawing sweetheART fave ; } happy hippy hugglez
jbillitteri right, I saw this also
Koi that didn't have an SBS, and it wasn't pulled.
author, no need to spend 5 to 10 hours to start another, just draw an outline and some basic shadows and be done with it for your SBS, because this is an awesome drawing and should place high. rules should be followed though.
Yep Alwani and jbillitteri that entry slipped through, the author did get his warning and it should have been removed... guess we are all human and make mistakes...
very nice !! good luck

I surrender, the rule has been changed on me so I am sorry to all those I may ave offended by calling them noobs, and I have made a tiny SBS which I hope will suffice
fantastic work .........
author, I am glad you took the time to do a few steps and follow the rules. I respect you for doing so and also respect you for apologizing-that shows great character. I'm pretty sure this will top the charts.
Talent is here
Very nice drawings author...well done
Looks amazing, well done author!
Absolutely stunning work author !
Author, you are such an artist. Your work is beautiful and I am glad to see the outlines for your SBS. You have a creative mind. Just try to follow the guidelines for the drawing contests. I had to submit SBS in my drawings too. I am happy to see these kinds of works of ART. Good luck!
