DIGITAL DRAWING: If eyes are the windows of the soul, show your depiction of what that entails to you! Draw your most realistic eye or eyes. The more photo-realistic, the better. It can be animal or human eyes.
sunzet: Is there more to the guidelines here that are not in the description, ´cause there was one amazing entry here for a little while, but it got removed. As far as I could see no rules were crossed, so why was it pulled? ( 5 years and 3331 days ago )
MossyB: Earlier entries were not digital, they were traditional drawings. This is a digital contest, no scanned drawings allowed. ( 5 years and 3330 days ago )
Contest Moderator: @sunzet: since last week entries who receive a warning get temporary removed from the contest so the submitter can make the apropriate changes. See also this: http://www.pxleyes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2571 ( 5 years and 3330 days ago )
craigers: Since I was the one who suggested this theme, below is "exactly" what i suggested!
Non digital or photo-shop: traditional mediums. If eyes are the windows of the soul, show your depiction of what that entails to you! ( 5 years and 3329 days ago )
Contest Moderator: @Craigers: the admin has the right to make changes to a suggestion, afterall they are suggestions. This means the description stands the way the admin posted it. ( 5 years and 3329 days ago )
craigers: Making subtle changes to a suggestion is one thing, changing the explicit theme of 'medium' suggested is another! kinda defeats the purpose of suggestion, and ends up with the confusion above! ( 5 years and 3328 days ago )
k5683: craigers, I would suggest that you just don't suggest anymore then ( 5 years and 3327 days ago )
craigers: Because i have an opinion? That old U.S.A. thing of Freedom of speech and expression sits well with me, so I'll pass on your suggestion to do other! ( 5 years and 3327 days ago )
k5683: my suggestion was just a suggestion and usage of freedom of speech~ I never put my hand over your mouth to quiet you
Your suggestions are just ideas basically so the administrators can get a little help with contests. If your suggestion wasn't made into a TD just like you wanted and you have a problem with it, then just don't suggest anymore. ( 5 years and 3325 days ago )

Very strong image! Is there a high-res?
Since you've cut off a lot of the face it's hard to see in what angle the face is. The iris is looking towards us, but the eyebrow and lashes are pointing to the left. The edge of the iris is to hard, a close up of an eye shows that the iris is blurring into the white normally. Strong image anyway with great colours.
Yes... this is perfection..., My only nitpik is the shading/lighting on the upper eye lid., you need have a look at it again.., Great job.... high marks
What can I say? Everybody said everything what could be said... It's perfect, amazing... colors are very convincent, and the eye looks like a real one. GL!
Is that Megan Fox? And no, I'm not obsessed!!
You could add a few words in the SBS on how you do it ( for newbies like me), smudge, or soft eraser with blur on shadows - stuff like that.
author says:
Really hard to explain when you do something intuitively. I have had some practice in traditional art and in digital painting I'm just trying to imitate traditional painting.
Greymval, I'll try to add a few words in the SBS
Nice effort and quite realistic image. Your drawing and execution are good, but I have some critiques about the eye. As far as I know, human eye doesn't have that much hairs and they should be thicker, you can verify that easily by looking to the references. The other things are the contact should be rounder and the teardrop is not really convincing, it looks like a wound on the skin.
This work is the best one so far in this competition IMO. Good luck!
EDIT: to make it more realistic, you can add the shadows of the eyelash on the upper part of the eye
I like this and think you did a good job with the reflection in the eye. the part that bothers me is the pupil, seems more like a lfe saver candy. the center is ragged on the outer edges and outer highlights should go to the edge of the center pupil to make it look rounded and convex. The shading lashes and water looks pretty good. very nice work here.

Thanks! I will go with all your suggestions and will update the picture soon.

Update: Fixed eyelashes, highlights and pupil, added some shadows. Also worked on that tear. Hope it's better now.
Sorry author, but on your hi-res image the eyelashes grow from within inner side of the eyelid. It's incorrect. They grow from its front edge, where women are painting a black line in makeup
PS CS2
Soft brush, smudge tool and blure tool.
not sure how the colors look since my PS ignored my screen setting, also my computer restared many times while I was working . (5 years and 3321 days ago)

@pearlie it look somuch like my friend eye, so i have changed it to her eye's colors
@ Chaos ,lol i know that , I wanted it look like she is using eye mascara , but seems i need more practice on eyelashes, also there some extra layers which I forgot to remove, thank to you for reminding me
I am mesmerEYEzed by this drawing. It is absolutely, positively fantastic! The most realistic I've seen. The veins and the slight creases. You pay so close attention to detail. I'd applaud you, but you can't hear me lol. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!
Very good! Good SBS with a nice technic! Only thing you might work on a bit is the smoothness of the skin, it's to shiney and you could add a some structure in it. Looks little to plastic right now Gl!
This is lovely, but all the light reflection "lines" in addition to the light reflections make it look like she has scratched corneas. Also, the white spots in the shadowed area beneath the upper lid shouldn't be there, it's shadowed.
author says:
I create the image, not the photo.
If for expression of artistic intent I need fish sitting on a tree, let it sit there
I wanted to have unusual reflections, that's the reason why it's there.
Interesting, but it doesn't look very realistic. The iris coloring is somewhat blotchy, and the light reflections are somewhat blurry, which wouldn't happen with a wet surface like an eyeball, they would be in sharper focus.
At the price to repeat comments from the other members this is very unique entry...drips and splashes are made perfectly and the eye is very well constructed...well done author
