Traditional Drawing: The only requirement for this contest is that your entry contains a heart of some sort. It can be one or multiple hearts and there can be other drawings in your picture as well. Good luck!
appreciate the transcluscency of heart, (lil of sword seen through the heart, gives the feel of balloon) also luv the defination of blood(i mean you captured its material quality)...
are the slanted drops of blood falling from sword to ground, suggesting that the sword is still in action?(should'nt it be flowing straight down otherwise...) correct me if i'm wrong...
Jade, you can be the expert in designing tattoo, I'm sure . I was also surprised to reveal that's you who made this work, but it's reasonable. Keep going on, this is the best medium for your talent, I think . And congrats for the bifecta, you're dominating this place!
whoa.
totally unexpected, as there were soooo many entries that were much more superior to mine.
thank you all for the lovely comments and votes and favs on this ... as it is a very personal piece..not just a random tattoo design (although it would definitely work for that)
Frikin Wow!!!!!!!!
First off , what do you got like 11 hearts in there? What is so damn cool about this is the way all the curves and arc's seem to flow together. The eyebrows arc matching her hairline and then her eyelids. Wonderful!
Also, Kudos to you for rounding off her chin. The hearts in the eyes as light reflections send this over the top! Her nose is great btw. I hate doing noses!.
And finaly, the color tones are superb! Look out Author ,I think you got some Picasso on you! hehehe
Oh and.............thats 1 down you got 2 more coming right?
is her half - heart shaped ear missing...
luving her hairstyle author....
appreciate the simplicity of colour palette, reduced to neccessity..
author says:
oooh wow, thank you guys.
you always make me feel like doing more more more with all these lovely comments!
and, gotmeamuse, it was planned to have everything "echo" each shape...nice to have someone notice all the work i did in planning that out. its fun when something comes together like that. (and yes, i'll fill my quota, i'm quite sure of it.
and everyone else! thank you thank you thank you!
I left her ears out on purpose. and the hairstyle is actually a hat of sorts. and thanks for noticing the color pallete. i purposely used 5 distinct colors.
i took the time to take a better picture with a real camera instead of my phone. :P lazy artist that i am, i don' always have my camera right there to take a good picture of things when i get them done, and then get all excited to post them and show off. :P
thanks for understanding, and no matter what your votes were, i appreciate every one taking the time to look, and to comment onmy stuff. it means oooooh so very much to me. finally after years of gathering dust, my easel is being used. its even gotten new paint smudges on it thanks to you guys!!!
I even like this one better than the Doubled Crossed. Maybe it's just the personal impression but I see you, your face, in every portrait entries of yours, that's so interesting.
I agree with Langstrum. I like this one much better as well but, so what! You got 1st and second!!! Woooo whooooo

Gotmeamuse, you should have beat me on both counts.... those zombies rocked.
THANK YOU ALL. SERIOUSLY. i can't say it enough, but you all are the reasons i post these things. otherwise, they'd be sitting in a portfolio somewhere gathering dust. I love that you all give me a reason to do what i do. *blush*

I would say so too. It is kind of blurred.
The painting is ehm... fabulous, considering it is about zombies, but I love the concept and the colours! GL!

Pablo's Skull was painted on a home made canvas. It was something I found in the garage, some kind of paneling. Worked ok with acrylics and you can't beat free
author says:
Wow you guys are fast!!!! Thank you....I cant move it until morning...it is zip tied to a 6' ladder as an easil! I Mcgyvered it.
i didn't even have to vote this one. and of course, it goes without saying, my new favorite of the contest!!! i love how different all of the entries are from each other. its amazing to see how many "hearts" we can all come up with!!!
as for this one, you rock. i LOVE it. >.> 2'x4' ??? DANG man. thats a big'un.
Thank you....I still am finishing it but I just noticed that if you look at this full resolution it is actual size or close to it! Still a crappy shot! uggggg
oh wow!! This is gorgeous!!!!! you must do some drawings for me as well!
I would stick with the dogs too but I don't like them, I 'll stick to cats! ha
this entry deserved to win! Coz it has an artistic side, great drawing and it's telling a little story... It's sad that ppl in here are giving higher votes for those who they know, instead of voting for art . Anyway, it's my winer! Best of luck, Author!!!
