Traditional Drawing: For this contest you won't need any brushes, paint, markers or crayons, because you're going to make your entire entry with a ballpoint pen only! Ok, you áre allowed to make a pencil sketch, but the final result obviously has to show a ballpoint drawing.
You're not limited by any subject, the sky is the limit. Curious what other people can make with a ballpoint? Check this site. Good luck!
REMEMBER these contests require that you post at least 2 intermediate steps of your drawing in a step by step guide, so we can see the progress of your work.
Reference photos are allowed (no copyrighted images), but links should be mentioned in your SBS. Include links for all images.
thanks.....Yes...I went out and found these great color ballpoint pens made by Foray called "on point"...it is great they have more than blue and black these days!!!!!
author, scan sections of this image at super high res, (to show the pen strokes etc...) and place them in an SBS, this will show the paper indentions and display your work better (well done, but you don't want this to be pulled for a stupid tech reason) PROTECT YOUR SELF.. use condoms.. LOL.. (sorry couldn't resist LOL)

Thanks you for the advice! i'll do it right now!!!
i tried scanning this one in, but...for some reason the scan image looks horrific. so, please excuse my crooked photography, but it looks more like what it does irl.
drawn with a fine line bic ball point pen with gel ink on a piece of velum. (5 years and 3160 days ago)
You probably had trouble with the scan because you used vellum which is translucent. Sometimes putting white paper pressed up against the back of the vellum can help but the scanner may still pick up the tonality of the vellum.
The photo isn't too bad and I do like what you've created. Very much like a Tim Burton character. GL
When you have photos like this, that are not straight , load it in photoshop , choose crop, and there's a small case you can check called Perspective. It allows you to make your crop follow the perspective, and when you're finished and press Enter, it will make it straight.

Thank you everyone for your compliments and support.
Grey...dear...as helpful as that is, I'm sure I knew that. However, I was at work when I took the raw image off my camera, and no access to photoshop. So, this was the best I could get. I planned on uploading a scan, but I couldn't capture a scan like I said.
good work!
