During the Crimean War (1854-56) there were ill-fated orders given to the British Light Cavalry to charge a HEAVILY fortified position. Many knew the orders were a mistake, but as the famous poem by Tennyson states, "Their's not to reason why, their's but to do and die." Over 600 horses charged the Russians, and only about 200 came back, almost all wounded. Draw your best depiction of this dramatic, and true, piece of history.
