Wow, that's pretty darned good - LOL, great update! (I painted The Blue Boy as a paint-by-number with oils as a kid!) Fantastic face. Tedious stitching on that vest, too, great work, author.
Very good, when I compare it with the original painting, I see a lot of changes in your version, but the details are still fitted together well . I have some suggestions, hope they can help: the shadow on the left eyes is not consistent with the shadow of the nose down ward, so at the first glance, look like this boy was punched in the face. Second, the wheels under the board has no shadow, the board should make some shadow on its wheels. Third, the green highlight on the left side of the hair should be dark. All in all, the main thing you could improve is making the consistent shadow, as what Thomas Gainsborough did beautifully in his painting.
Wish you the best luck!
OK at first was not to impressed, but either you made some changes or my drugs are working now., I think it looks much better now and wish I could change my vote.
Well it is two bad I cannot change my score because you are the only one who has changed the painting from the source you used. Easier to do a copy then to change the looks of the painting. congrats.!!
Congrats IDt8r! I just have a quick question for you: seems like you have bought a tablet? I remember that you used to use mouse for your entry, is that right?
NICE! G L

very nicely done!
I'm not familiar with the original painting (which says more about me than the painting), but this is a very nice adaption, well done! Good luck!
