Finally got it right?
Oh BTW steps 7 and 8 are the same in your SBS.
This is a friend I have that is very expressive. I decided to play with his face and this is what I got. I used a "B" graphite pencil on Canson paper. Original size is 8.5 X 11. All pictures are my own stock. (5 years and 3273 days ago)

cool work author...GL
It's cool, but more contrast wouldn't hurt, in the pics his hair & ribbon are darker than his shirt - in your drawings is not always the case. Also in pics, the guy always has clear highlights ( either on cheek or on his nose), because he's sweaty, they trully shine. If you have a white crayon, you could make this more clear.
I appreciate your comments and tips. I will apply them on my next master work. Thanks...
i like it ! gl

Please provide SBS. After having looked at this in Hi-res, it looks like it's "Painted-over ". The background is what gave it away for me, as it has the light rings in the top right that you get from photos. Also, the texture of the shirt looks too uniform to have been drawn in. Will hold my vote.
I changed the character art, because i dont have the steps saved in my computer.
The background is too simple because this illustration was made for Mobile Devices as a Background. So I didn't put any details that i wanted.
This drawing is part of a series of 60 illustrations I did for a telephone company.
