"There's No Way Out Of Here"
(K. Baker)
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There was no promise made
The part you played
The chance you took
There are no boundaries set
The time and yet
You waste it still
So it slips through your hands
Like grains of sand
You watch it go
There's no time to be lost
You'll pay the cost
So get it right
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There never was there an answer
There an answer
Not without listening
Without seeing
There are no answers here
When you look out
You don't see in
There was no promise made
The part you played
The chance you took
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There never was there an answer
There an answer
Not without listening
Without seeing
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There was no promise made
The part you played
The chance you took
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good
There are no answers here
When you look out
You don't see in
There's no way out of here
When you come in
You're in for good (5 years and 3209 days ago)
great work
Sometimes the bars are on the inside.
great work!
Oooooooooh my goodness. The raw emotion that seeps from this is just ....powerful. what a statement. The stakes through the body are so symbolic...for every day we as humans face both those demons....our faith is tested and our self image is doubted...and daily we stand as if on a stage to the onlookers with their plastic smiles pasted acrossed their faces, waiting...as if their opinions mattered.
And somehow, even though we say the opposite, those opinions and expectations do matter. And they cut thru us in the most agonizing ways.
Id say well done, but its an understatement. I'm in awe.
the thumbnail looked like it was stretched skin (like a GIANT TATTOO!) awesome
Thank you for the comments and the fav's. This was hard to do emotionaly and the song kind of picked me. I diddnt plan it I just painted it.
Wooooow...now that is intense! You definitely captured the look of torment and pain in this painting which i feel can be hard to do. ..and this stirs up many emotions...it certainly fits the song lyrics. well done.
Powerful image, but really wonky anatomy in the neck and shoulder area. If you wanted more accurate proportions, the shoulders are 2 3/4 head widths across, and the neck should be 2/3 of a head width...His trapezius muscles just have me totally freaked out!
What a great piece author...but u did only a part of work...its missing politics, malice, bat taste and many many other nails....well done man
Thank you man! I needed that on this one. I think perhaps the very things you speak of have placed "Truth" in its grave and provides the steel to create the bars my man here is imprisoned/impaled by.
Perhaps the bars piercing his wrists should be entitled "good and evil"?
Thank you again.
Love the tune...and your work captures it well. Nice job!
Great lyrics
Howdie stranger!
