The facial expression I am showing is a smile which is used when you are happy to see someone. Also, it shows a bit of naughtyness (seeing a crush.lol.).

First of all, making this image was tough.......
I have made this from scratch.

I have used the pen tool, Elliptical marquee tool and gradient tool for the background.

I thought brushes were not allowed thats why I didn't even use the Eraser tool.

Also, used the pen tool to fill the face and the hair.

Pen tool saves the day.

Edit : I have removed the Gradient from the background. (5 years and 3725 days ago)

I'm glad you guys like my hard work. The reason for using the pen tool was I don't have a scanner or pen tablet or digi cam. Yeah, its sad.

I have made this in a simple way of vector art. And I don't need dimples. If I gave dimples, I'll also have to mark some cheek under his eyes and give more depth to his hair. So, just think adding all those would lose the simple look.

EDIT: sorry; I used a leaf brush for adding color on the background. Now there's the original posted.

She's Eva. I like the smile she had in the photo I chose. She's always been a cheerful girl, but here I think she represents something more. A sort of soft, secret joy.

I just made her a portrait (crayons), fixed with Photoshop the light (because the photo of the drawing was too dark) and added a little bit of color. (5 years and 3726 days ago)
