Good concept...throw the silhouetted city out of focus for depth.
the blue shy was created with the rectangle too-- I started with dark blue then, overlaped that with a blue that was just a bit lighter (5 years and 3191 days ago)

very cool entry...work on the skeleton is fantastic...best of luck
Thanks for the comments -- yea the skeleton took for a very long time, multiple re-do's I'm almost happy with the results
Congrats on 2nd, James.
"...I'm almost happy with the results." lol I know what you mean there. But you did an excellent job on it. I especially like the cob webby stuff in the wing struts (is that what they're called?) That was a unique touch. Great job! I'm looking forward to more of your entries.
Thank you IDt8r, I still trying tying to get past the learning curve of photoshop - if you noticed some of my other entries. Thank you for the encouragement, it does mean alot to me
Nice Job Congrats

Color sketch for actual window. (5 years and 3257 days ago)
It looks very authentic!
Edit: Ahh.. that's why..
nice work.
Great construction on this one author...Extra boost is cause is this used in the real life...well done
Very nice! I like it!
Nice! I could see this hanging as a separate glass piece in the middle of a nice, big glass doorway. Nice design.
Pixelkid, thanks! It's one of a pair in a renovated 1860s home. The second one is the same design with a slightly different color scheme from the one in my SBS.
The window looks good as well but they didn't preserve all the colors- or maybe is a light effect.
Greymval, it's almost impossible to get a good shot of a window with very light lights & very dark darks. In some cases I combine different exposures to get a decent composite image, but as this contest was only supposed to feature the drawing I just posted a raw shot..
Very realistic and well done. Love it!
Nooooo way !! are you lost . great to see you expanding you horizons. And pretty good also.
IS this your first DD?

The rain drops look like amoebas under a microscope - there are no water trails, and they are illuminated oddly...The solid color sky, and the crude silhouette scribble drawing just emphasize the "not really rain-like" effect.
It just looks like something done quickly without much effort, sorry.
I feel like the raindrops were created using the blending options, which is not allowed in digital drawing contest. So, can you give us a detailed sbs if you created raindrops without blending options? or if you have used them, kindly change it otherwise it'll effect your entry.
Oh oops - this is my first entry in drawing and I didn't realise that about blending ...
I'll try red flag my entry and get it deleted.
Many thanks
Nice try author! Don't get it deleted, it is good to try and this is how you learn! Best of luck!
