In the first step create the scene. Use the multiply tool with a dark color to create the lines. The normal brush is used to fill the shapes.
step 2 of 5
Use the colorpicker to get the right color, and than just brush away the branches. Make the table come out more with a lighter color brush. Use the multiply tool to make scratches, use the dodge tool around those dark lines to create depth.
step 3 of 5
By putting in vertical lines(using multiply tool) I created a wall. The colors are already perfect for the wall. Dont forget to highlight the wall with the dodge tool, next to the dark lines.(Dont forget the lightsource, leftside is not the same as rightside.)The small planet was made using circle select, looking up an image and brushing the colors into the circle.
step 4 of 5
Create the details by using smudge tool, and a small brush tool. I also changed the shape of the lights, the stone, and made the shadow under the stone. The shade closer to the wall is less dark to show that the stone is lying away from the wall.
step 5 of 5
Finally create some more details to finish the scene. I created two extra cards and a extra stone to give the image a real museum feel.
