Using the magic wand I cut out most of the background. And used the eraser tool to finish what was left.

Duplicated the layer and changed it to multiply.

I cropped the source inverted it and changed to linear light.

I duplicated the layer and changed it to exclusion.

I then took the fairy I cut out and copied it. I created a new layer and paste the fairy.

I opened the wings and copied and pasted them onto the fairy. In order for the wings to appear a part of the body I changed the position of my layers making the wings lower than the fairy.

Creating a new layer I used some fairy dust brushes using color #99FFFF and #FF0000. Normal and Opacity set to 61%.

I duplicated the fairy dust layer and used gaussian blur set to 4.5%. I copied the butterfly and pasted it onto a new layer.

I duplicated the butterfly layer and added gaussian blur at 4.6%.

I repeated the steps with the next butterfly by duplicating the layer and adding gaussian blur 4.6%.

Added the last butterfly and used the blur tool set to darken to help blend.
